Blast and Dodge It

All on this Quiver-of-One We spend a lot of time poking around Vermont's tight trees and icy lines, so we built the Burton Family Tree Hometown Hero Snowboard to blast through it all.

It's a daily driver with a build and materials worthy of the Family Tree name.

The directional shape has enough taper to float the nose on deeper days, while the board's directional camber and flex maintain the pop to keep it lively in all conditions and terrain.

This chunder buster loves to go fast, blast, and dodge through the tightest trees.

It's a quiver-of-one built with an attention to detail found only in our Family Tree line.

Shape

Freeride Directional

Freeride Directional Shape features a setback camber and a sidecut that is centered on your stance to create a twin freestyle stance when riding flat base, and on edge it turns tight and quick with the float and prowess of a directional deck

Directional Camber Freeride

Twin Flex is perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail for a balanced ride that's equally versatile regular or switch

Classic Directional Shape , A twin flex balances the directional shape for an all-terrain ride that you can ride regular or switch.

Directional Shape is designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while providing plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition.

Twin Stance Meets Directional Float

The board's Freeride Directional Shape centers your stance for a twin freestyle feel when riding flat base.

On edge it turns tight and quick with the soft snow float and feel of a directional deck.

Core

Super Fly II™ 700G Core

Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight.

Dualzone™ EGD™

The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core for consistent edge-hold and added strength.

45° Carbon Highlights

Carbon Highlights optimizes each layer of the fiberglass matrix and adds a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to reduce weight and fine tune torsional feel to achieve different ride characteristics.

A 60° fiber angle creates a highly maneuverable and playful feel, while a 45° fiber angle provides a more aggressive ride.

Base

Sintered WFO

Infusing a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material results in an ultra-durable base that stays wide open all season and in any condition.

Additional Features

Balanced Freeride Geometry

Pro-Tip™

Burton boards with “pro-tip” have a tapered tip and tail thickness.

This reduces swing weight and therefore improves maneuverability along with overall board feel.

Infinite Ride™

This Burton-exclusive technology allows maximized pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you.

Whether you choose to ride Flat Top, Flying V™, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

Super Sap® Epoxy

A resin formulated with bio-based materials that reduces the carbon footprint by 50% over conventional all-petroleum-based epoxies. Less oil consumption means even less of a carbon footprint per board Factory Tuned Board comes waxed and ready for the mountain right from the factory.

Channel
The Channel replaced Burton’s 3D mounting pattern in 2014, featuring two parallel slots along the snowboard edges for each binding. This design allows nearly infinite mounting options using just two screws per binding. Although optimized for Burton’s EST Snowboard Bindings, it can also accommodate various other bindings with the right mounting discs. The Channel enables adjustments in stance width, angle, centering, and setback.
